Ellen McNamara joined Preeo Silverman Green & Egle in 2008. She brought to the firm over thirty years experience in a wide range of transactional and bankruptcy matters. In the real estate arena she has represented developers, lenders, title insurance companies, sellers, purchasers, landlords, tenants and homeowners associations in transactions spanning the entire life cycle of commercial and residential real estate. Her business and commercial background includes forming corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies; advising closely held businesses in ownership buyout arrangements; assisting entities in negotiating financing deals; representing buyers and sellers of businesses; and drafting and negotiating marketing, distribution and franchise agreements. For her work in the real estate and business areas, Ms. McNamara charges a competitive hourly rate, although she may offer discounts and/or capped fees for residential real estate transactions, depending on the circumstances.

Ms. McNamara's bankruptcy experience has also been diverse, and includes large commercial cases (for secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, creditors' committees, and asset purchasers) as well as individual debtor work. Her current bankruptcy practice is focused on compassionately representing consumer debtors that prefer to receive individual attention from their attorney rather than having their case handled by paralegals in a high-volume bankruptcy mill. For potential individual bankruptcy clients, Ms. McNamara offers a free one-hour consultation and fixed fees in most cases.

Ms. McNamara is a cum laude graduate of Carleton College, where she majored in sociology and anthropology. She received her JD from Loyola University of Chicago, where she published an article on automobile financing in, and was a member of the editorial board of, the Loyola Law Journal. She currently resides in Lakewood with her husband and son, where she is proud to be affiliated with the Lakewood Symphony.
