Prior to attending Denver University Sturm College of Law in 2004, Shelly worked as a paralegal in premier Colorado law firms since 1999. Shelly's decision to become an attorney stemmed from a heartfelt passion for the law. During law school Shelly had the opportunity to clerk for the 4th Judicial District and two other prominent law firms in the Denver area. Furthermore, Shelly was the legal advocate at Safe House Denver helping non-citizen victims of domestic violence obtain U-Visas and VAWAs. Since being sworn into the Colorado Bar in 2007, Shelly opened her own practice in Parker, Colorado. Pro bono services remain a strong part of Shelly's practice. Shelly is dedicated to providing personalized professional service that her clients and the community need and deserve. Shelly is ardent about maintaining flexibility to meet the ever changing needs of the community. She is committed to the success of her clients by providing quality creative counsel that consistently exceeds expectations. Community involvement has always been a priority for Shelly. Currently, Shelly is President for Youth For Parker, a 501(c)(3) Corporation, and a Board Member for the Parker Chamber of Commerce. Shelly's involvement with Toastmasters International includes Area Governor, President, Secretary, and Vice President of Public Relations. Shelly is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Douglas/Elbert Bar Association, Denver University Sturm College of Law Alumni, and Colorado State University Alumni. |
